My daughter is 4 years old, and LOOOOVES to play her games on the computer. She is really good at using it for her ABC, counting, shapes and stuff like that. BUT, I find myself arguing with her so that I can get some work done, lol. I am considering getting her her very own first computer. I am looking for a cheap laptop, that can support internet %26amp; about 5 different games. Nothing major, just Dora, SpongeBob, and a couple other Preschool games. It has to have WiFi so it can connect to the home router for her nickjr.com, pbs.com etc....Anyway...what kind of laptop would be best for this? I see them online for $279, but can it handle these games without being a sloooooooooow computer. She is very active, and has ZERO patience for waiting on her game to load, lol. Anyway, any suggestions? What is the best place to purchase? And how much memory and stuff should it have??I want to purchase a computer for my 4year old?
That is awesome that your daughter can play those games already. You may have a really smart little girl on your hands... lol
NewEgg.com is a great website for computers, they have good customer service and the prices really are unbeatable.

The $350 Acer Aspire One ought to be just fine. You really don't have to worry about Spongebob or Dora being slow. The only drawback is the small screen.
Hey,
Buying your daughter a laptop is adorable. No sarcasm included.
First off the laptop you will be purchasing will at any price be slowed down on loading. That is common to all computers. but the ram speed does give the edge.
for the games you suggest a laptop with minimum 512 MB {higher, if the patience is low} of ram is enough. The hard disk capacity is up to you to decide. If you are just using for the games and few extra files 40 or 80 GB is fine including XP installation and the game installation.
the processor can be a low processing speed. a celeron pro will be fine.
so that been done may i get your attention to PC or desktops. they are way cheaper min 150$. way easy and cheaper to repair . trust me.
So good luck.
