How many cars will the military pay to ship overseas during a PCS?

When we traveled to Hawaii in '01, the military would ship only one vehicle at their cost -- so we left our second car here in the states. My husband has been temporarily retired for 3 1/2 years and is likely to return to active duty before the year is out. At the time of his retirement, there was "talk" of the military allowing two vehicles to be shipped at their cost. Is that now the case? How many cars will the military pay to ship overseas during a PCS?Take one apart and put it in boxes marked "Kitchen stuff".....How many cars will the military pay to ship overseas during a PCS?
It is still only one....we just moved to Alaska so we sold our clunker back in New York. Shipping 2 cars per family is just one of the adjustments that they are discussing....along with higher weight limits and paying for moving your pets. How many cars will the military pay to ship overseas during a PCS?it hasn`t changed yet but there`s talk that they might allow 2 carsHow many cars will the military pay to ship overseas during a PCS?
They will only pay for one. If you can find a really good buddy that's heading for the same place and he doesn't have a vehicle...you might have to temporarily title the vehicle under his name and then transfer it back once the vehicle gets to Hawaii. My Dad did that when we went overseas to Panama. If you do have to retitle, you'll need legal proof that you made the temporary switch and that the vehicle is rightfully yours, etc. so there aren't any surprises down the road! Hope that helps. How many cars will the military pay to ship overseas during a PCS?i know a military family who moved out of U.S. at the end of last year, they could only take one car then.
