Are contractors taking away good people from the military?

I've read that I can make more than double working for say black water than for the US military plus I wouldn't have the same restrictions as in the military. Now my heart is dead set for the air force and the navy second. But my question is, is are the contractors a threat to taking the best and brightest away from our military? Are contractors taking away good people from the military? No, if anything contractors are beneficial to the military. The DoD is restricted by many engagement rules and tactics; companies like Blackwater aren't held as accountable, so working along side them gets them to finish jobs we aren't lawfully allowed to per Geneva Convention. Are contractors taking away good people from the military?contractors generally look for prior service individuals who fill a finite number of roles in the area, generally speaking people taken from infantry and combat roles are the ones they look for most. they aren't taking people away from the military any more than any civilian employer is.
