How would you feel if you were in the military and found out somebody that lives with you is gay?

In other words should we really get rid of the don't ask don't tell policy?

Would you be in the military if you knew all these homos were around you?How would you feel if you were in the military and found out somebody that lives with you is gay?we had a case in our battalion but the straight roommate didnt have any issues until the "gay" military member started sharing same bed with other unknown guys on the weekends ,lets say that we had (NCO's) to move out the straight guy out because he could no longer work or sleep because of it. gay guy ended up having the room by himself lol because it keep happening with all the new roommates. How would you feel if you were in the military and found out somebody that lives with you is gay?
This answer is very anecdotal. 13,000 veterans have been thrown out of the military since the Don't Ask Don't Tell (Don't Pursue) policy was put into place. Very few people even know that the name has Don't Pursue in it.

Women have been threatened with being called lesbian if they wouldn't put out.

How would you feel if you were in the military and found out somebody that lives with you is gay?Haha, My fiances well one of his roomates was gay at Basic, and it was really hysterical to be honest. He didnt plan to tell anyone he was gay but it was obvious, and he never said it allowed, but on his FB he had him and his partner, and he really was the sweetest guy him and my fiance still chat once in a while, and there was no problems at all..There were a few men who didnt approve but those who knew and accepted it, kept it to themselves and saw him for who he really was.. Btw he is a great american and soldier so there should be NO discriminations
I wouldnt care and I wouldnt out them...if they tried to touch me or do somethin like then I'd knock his head off.

People are in now and know homos are around them its jus that we dont know who (Sometimes we do tho, I gotta flaming E7 in my shop...its obvious...VERY obvious).

Anyway I think the policy should stay...if they boink dudes in their free time I dont need to know...its about being professional. In the military we are (Or should be) held to a higher standard...someone bein gay is none of my business...but they shouldnt throw it in our faces either like they deserve special treatment. The military doesnt exist to make everyone feel cute and special...if they want they should get a civilian job that can provide that...How would you feel if you were in the military and found out somebody that lives with you is gay?Contrary to popular myth being gay doesn't make one a sexual pervert. It just means he likes men instead of women. Gays are no more likely to be rapists or sexual predators than are straights (in fact they are less likely to be rapists or predators). Having a gay guy in your barracks is nothing to be concerned about. Funny how straight men find lesbian sex a turn on but are revolted at the thought that two men might have sex.

MYOB is my motto. How would you feel if you were in the military and found out somebody that lives with you is gay?
It is a scientific fact, discovered in 1956, that homosexuality is not a disorder.

That means that all forms of discrimination against gays are unscientific and irrational.

It means gay people are just as good as heteros.

That's all you need to know. Everything else is minor detail.
There is no outfit in the military that does not have any openly gay men. There are few secrets. Anyone that cannot follow orders regarding the sexuality of others or on any other subject is not fit for military service. How would you feel if you were in the military and found out somebody that lives with you is gay?
At one time Blacks were barred from the military, and then it was woman and now it is gays. This too, shall pass. People have had this philosophy NIMB. All the fences have been taken down. So it will be with gays. Get real
It works perfectly fine in other developed countries. America is way behind with this, kinda pathetic really. America used to be the beacon to freedom and is now a parody of itself.
Sweet pea, we've always had gay people.

The people I've "strongly suspected" were gay, were excellent at their jobs. If they aren't sleeping with me (or my husband) it doesn't concern me.
If he leaves me alone, I will leave him alone. But if even one time he makes any kind of pass at me or touches me in an inappropriate manner, he gets turned in.
Yes i would be in the military just but i wouldnt talk or have anything to do with them.
