How to become a military officer in the Canadian Army?

Hi, I'm a student fresh out of high school and I'm wondering how do I mold myself to become a military officer in the Canadian army.



More specifically where should I go after high school (I'm taking a fifth year). And whats this about the Royal Military College of Canada I've been hearing about. Can I apply to that after high school?How to become a military officer in the Canadian Army?knh - actually its not rare.. you have to stop giving text book answers



unless you want to spend years and years working your way to becoming an officer, then you have to have a 4 year degree at a recongized canadian university or attend RMCC



Yes you can apply right after high school, you can apply in your senior year as long as you're over the age of 16 (which im sure you are)

First enrol in university and get yourself a degree then go to the nearest CF recruiting centre and enlist.



Second. Apply to the Royal Military College (RMC) of Canada. RMC is the Canadian Forces own university located in Kingston, On. It's a degree granting institution. You would spend four years at RMC as an Officer Cadet in the Canadian Forces. You'd receive a small monthly salary but your tuition, books, room and board would be included. Upon graduation from RMC you would be commissioned into the Canadian Forces. Having completed a subsidized university education means that you would be required to serve as an officer for a minimum of five years after graduation. Competition and selection to RMC is tough. Only the best are accepted.
