What are some good reasons to separate from the military?

I have the option to separate the military in 10 months, but I am unsure of what to do next? Military has been a great experience for me (6 years, with 3 years spent in Europe), but I am bored of the job and want something different. The problem is that I don't know if "boredom" will be just as bad in the civilian sector? Military offers travel, competitive pay, tuition assistance, health care, retirement, and so much more. It has its downsides too, but I want to know the motivations of the civlian world, what is good to look forward to when I get out? What are some good reasons to separate from the military? If you like the military experience, with your time in service you can either apply to go to a base assignment in an interesting location, or you can choose to retrain in another specialty. If you have been happy so far and have not been in any trouble, you can apply for 1-2 years of recruiter duty.

You can also use the available education resources to go to college and work toward a degree. I assume that you are enlisted, it can allow you to become an officer if you wish. The combination of college degree and military service are extremely valuable in the commercial world.

Don't think that the kind of benefits you have are readily available in the "real world." I have been out of the service for 26 years, and I have never had as good benefits for me or my family as I had as an enlisted man. I started college while in my 3rd year of a 4-year enlistment; when I got out, I was a sophomore in college. I had more maturity than any of my classmates and I was more motivated to succeed than any of my younger classmates.

I wish you the best in your decision. Jstmother at yahoo. What are some good reasons to separate from the military? The best reason to separate from the military is YOUR FAMILY (loved ones) they should be primary instead of secondary place in your life.... think about it, and make your decision.
