And if you sign during the fall, October, does in make a difference when you will go to basic?How much time is there on average between signing for the military and leaving for basic?What dictates that is the job you pick and the time frame when a training cycle opens up for your slot. It could be a day it could be eleven months. Naturally most people want to leave at the soonest but again, what job you pick and where that falls into the training cycle is going to dictate your ship date.How much time is there on average between signing for the military and leaving for basic?If you don't wish to leave immediately you can select the delayed entry program. For instance, if you need to finish school or had some big life event you needed to be home for, then you could choose to leave for basic after you completed school, etc. As far as when you would leave if you didn't use the delayed entry, it depends on when a new cycle of basic starts. However, they start frequently, like every week. I signed with the Air Force, tested and shipped out within a week. It was in October. I spent Thanksgiving in basic and got home for christmas.How much time is there on average between signing for the military and leaving for basic?There are so many difference factors.. just go talk to the recruiters. I was in DEP for 6 months.. and went to navy boot camp in november. (stuck threw the holidays. sitting in barracks)
