Who is your favorite military character from the movies?

This moment I can only remember Col. Slade (Scent of a woman) and Col. Jessep (A few good men), but all we know there are lots and lots of military characters around there: Generals, officers, privates. Who is your favorite? Has he or she influenced on your life in some way?Who is your favorite military character from the movies?I definitely agree with your choice. Especially Col. Slade from Scent of a Woman. I love that movie.

But 4 other movie characters come to mind when thinking of your question.

George C Scott as General Patton in the movie Patton

Cuba Gooding Jr. as Carl Brashear in Men of Honor

Forrest Gump and Lt Dan both in Forrest Gump

Alec Guinness as Colonel Nicholson in The Bridge on the River Kwai.Who is your favorite military character from the movies?
Any character played by R.Lee Ermey. He was a Marine Corps Drill Instructor and therefore plays the most realistic military characters I have seen.

I was in the Army and he was the spitting image of most of my Drill Sergeants.

"A navy diver is not a fighting man,he's a salvage expert. If it's lost underwater he finds it, if it sunk he brings it up, if it's in the way he moves it! If is he's lucky he will die young 200 feet beneath the waves but that's the closest to being锘?a hero. Hell I don't know why anybody would wanna be a navy diver. Now you report to this line, cookie!"Who is your favorite military character from the movies?
Ron Kovic who was paralyzed in the Vietnam War, a real person who was also portrayed by Tom Cruise in the movie Born on the 4th July, directed by Oliver StoneWho is your favorite military character from the movies?Audie Murphy portrayed himself in the movie " To Hell and Back. Sgt. Highway from heartbreak ridge was the best drill instructer followed by the guy from Full Metal Jacket... Gunnery Sgt. Hartman.

Clint Eastwood is a mean mudderphucker.
General George S. Patton. Like few in our history, the man knew what it meant and how much it meant to be an American.
