How will Obama interact with the Military Establishment?

I am interested to read your thoughts on how the military establishment will respond to President-elect Obama after the inauguration in January. Will they whole-hearted endorse him as Commander in Chief or act very suspiciously due to his lack of military experience? How will Obama interact with the Military Establishment? On inauguration day the military will immediately shift focus to President Obama as the Commander in Chief. No questions asked and no hesitation. That is the foundation of having the military subordinate to the political master. How will Obama interact with the Military Establishment? The military will do what is required of them. The military did not like President Clinton so when he boarded or disembarked Marine One (presidents helicopter) the Marine would stare straight ahead and render the required salute. The Military did like President Bush so in the same circumstances the Marine would face the President and salute him personally.

Little things you normally would not notice unless you know what to look for.How will Obama interact with the Military Establishment?my husband is in the army, my first husband was an army ranger and i agree with the first two answers, you have no choice, they will show the respect that is expected of them because they are trained to do that. How will Obama interact with the Military Establishment?
The military will be completely respectful and show proper etiquette towards the President.

However, Obama will have to earn their true respect and trust.
