which one would be good for a woman? and could i still go to college and be in the military?Which branch of military would make me more noticed by the CIA Clandestine services?Well, since you're a woman, 18 series MOS's are out of the question, but...
I think your best bet would be through the Army and be a 35L - Counterintelligence Agent or 31D - Criminal Investigations Agent. You'd have to contact a recruiter for specifics, but I'm fairly certain they're not an entry-level MOS's, meaning you can't come out of BCT and go to Fort Huachuca (Army Intel AIT School) for 35L or Fort Leonardwood (BCT, OSUT, and Military Police AIT) for 31D. These MOS's require dedication to the Army, and I think it takes 2 years to apply for either.
It would probably be wise to pick up a similar MOS, probably in the 35-series (Intelligence - http://usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjo2/a/35.-xiW.htm) or 31-series (Law Enforcement - http://usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjobs/a/31.-uK6.htm). For 35-series, I would suggest 35M - Human Intelligence Collector. For 31 series, I would suggest the tried and true 31B - Military Policeman. I'm also fairly certain you CAN laterally move between the two series for either MOS, meaning, you could be a 31B and go 35L, or be a 35M and go 31D.
Be aware though, 35L is a mother f'er to get. It's highly competitive and requires EXTENSIVE background checks. Be prepared to enlist without a bonus to be eligible, which most people don't realize. 31D should be a little easier, and has more openings in the Army Reserve and National Guard...which I assume you'd want to do, since you want to go to college.
Also, as another option, you could do ROTC at a local college, and go to BCT in the summer sometime. Then you can contract, become an officer after graduation, and choose an officer MOS...though I'm not sure how competitive it is to get into military police or intelligence as an officer.
tl;dr Army is the best choice, because of how many options it has. Talk to a recruiter about MOS's listed above, and tell him/her you want to go to college. Should be able to fill you in with more information.
And btw, you cannot do any sort of special forces because they are closed to women. Tyrel is incorrect.Which branch of military would make me more noticed by the CIA Clandestine services?
depends really. all branches of the military have their own investigation system. i know the air force has OSI and the navy has NCIS. they should all help you, however the biggest portion of investigations military has is unfortunately sexual assault so it might not help as much as you hope. as for college. yes you can. the military actually encourages you to do so. in fact you wont progress in rank without furthering your education.Which branch of military would make me more noticed by the CIA Clandestine services? If you don't have a college degree, the CIA (much less the Clandestine Services) won't even consider you.
You can try being a Human Intelligence Collector (MOS 35M), which develops intelligence from people (usually captured prisoners, buut not always), but even this may not be the kicker for the CIA.Which branch of military would make me more noticed by the CIA Clandestine services?
If you're going to sit around and wonder what job is best for you simply because of your gender, I promise you the military is not a place for you.
Just what are you trying to say about us? That there is some job I as a female am for some reason less capable of than a man? Because there isn't. If you're worried about your hair and nails, the military is not a place for you. If you're worried that you don't want to get dirty or sweaty, the military is not a place for you.Which branch of military would make me more noticed by the CIA Clandestine services?Any special forces. Probably Army Special Forces (Green Berets), Rangers, Delta, Seals, Marine Recon.
