Will the military pay to ship persanal belongings home when discharging from the military?

my fiancee is getting out of the military next month and i was wondering if the military will pay to ship his belongings home. His address on record is in a different state than where he is moving to.Will the military pay to ship persanal belongings home when discharging from the military? The Military will pay for shipping his Household Goods the distance from his current location to his Home of Record/Where he enlisted. Any difference will have to be paid out of pocket. Will the military pay to ship persanal belongings home when discharging from the military?
There right about additional cost to a different address other then HOR. If he is being chaptered out he my not be authorized movement at government expense but other then that there should be no problems. He should already have this information if he is getting out next month, if he doesn't he needs to get to transportation ASAP because we get really busy during this time of the year because school is just letting out and everyone is trying to move so they might not be able to ship his goods when he wants if he waits to long. Will the military pay to ship persanal belongings home when discharging from the military? They will if a move to his HOR is an equal distance to where he wants to move to if it is more than that distance he must pay the difference. For example he is stationed in California and his HOR is Virginia and he wants to move to Texas, they will pay for it. But if he is stationed in California, his HOR is Texas and he wants to move to Virgina, they will only pay the amount it would cost to ship to Texas, the rest he will have to pay for.
If the distance to where he is moving to is less money than moving to his home of record then yes they will ship his belongings to this place instead of his HOR.

However say that his HOR is Alabama, and he is stationed in Georgia and he wants his belongings to go to Washington state, he will have to pay the difference to get them there or he would have to do a Personally Procured Move Program (formally called DITY Move).

http://www.ditymovers.com/ but he wont make out as much because still he is taking his stuff further than his HOR.

So all you need to do is determine is if the place he wants to move to is closer than his HOR, if so no problems.

Good luckWill the military pay to ship persanal belongings home when discharging from the military?Yes. He'll be allowed to ship his belongings right up to the weight limit for his rank.

He's allowed to ship anywhere, but if where he's going is more expensive than where his home of record is at he'll have to pay the difference. Will the military pay to ship persanal belongings home when discharging from the military?
They will, but they will need to know that where he will be going is different than his Home of Record Address. It is essentially the same as if you wre recieveing Permanent Change of Station orders. Only his orders are out of the military
Yes he can have one shipment to the address of his choice.
