What can a 26 year old accountant offer to the military?

I'm 26 years old, I have a BBA in accounting, a wife who's in school for four more years, and I'm considering the military for a few years. Which branch could I serve best if at all? Would I need to learn some additional professional skills? Would it be better to be an officer or enlisted? Thanks. What can a 26 year old accountant offer to the military? That depends on what country we're talking about. I'm just gonna go ahead and suppose we're talking about the US.

From what I gather, you'd have an easier time getting a laid back office job in the army compared to the marines. Also, the level of education is generally higher in the army than in the marines, so you'd probably feel like you're around guys more like you there.

Alternatively, you could go air force, the level of education should be at least as high as in the army. The navy might make you sea sick, and the same goes for the coast guard, to a certain extend,

If you want to become an officer, it's unlikely that you'll just get away with serving for "a few years", but you'll probably get a better time, and better things on your papers than digging in the mud. The payment will certainly also be better.

So basically, if you're OK with killing people, I'd just go army/infantry. If not, I'd say air force. Just my two cents - hope it helps :)What can a 26 year old accountant offer to the military?
my mother is 45 and just joined the military as a clerk, :)

go on the website and look at all the trades, find something you're interested in.

depending on which trade you're going into, you may need to go to college, which they will provide you with, my dad and brother are both in special trades (geo techs) and had to go to college for it.What can a 26 year old accountant offer to the military? If you have a BBA, you can pursue an OCS commission. You could also look at enlisting at an advance pay grade. A lot will depend upon what you want to do and your long term plans. Sit down with your wife and a recruiter, and see what makes the most sense to you. What can a 26 year old accountant offer to the military?
Battles are won and lost on logistics, commands that have problems keeping their troops properly supplied sufffer poor retention, the management of supplies and equipment is a huge part of any effective military organization. What can a 26 year old accountant offer to the military?maybe you should consider being an auditor......keep them from justifying $78.00 toilet seats.....when you and I pay $5.99 at the local hardware store......
