What aspect of military life do you find most interesting?

I'm writing a paper on life as a military brat, though I can't think of anything interesting about it. At least nothing that I can write a two page paper on.What aspect of military life do you find most interesting?Travel.....can't beat seeing the world for free. What aspect of military life do you find most interesting?
The fact that we are so technologically advanced that we can overthrow entire governments and replace them in a matter of weeks with less than 1/1000 the number of casualties as we used to.What aspect of military life do you find most interesting?I'ts shower tyme boys :-D
I found the community aspect very interesting. The way friendships are made and enemy's/leaders form. What aspect of military life do you find most interesting? The killing

I'm not joking, people suffer some pretty bad mental problems are taking human life. People's struggle to get through it is very interesting. What aspect of military life do you find most interesting?
To answer your question directly, and not to comment on any other point ~ I would say "sniper"
The BrainwashingWhat aspect of military life do you find most interesting?
moving all over the place, you never know where you will go next and its kind of fun to see new things and different states and countries
Moving. I'm an Army brat and I've lived in 9 places in 17 years. I even got to live in Europe for five years.
Try looking at your life from that of someone not associated with the military. Granted most 'Military Brats' move a lot but it can be viewed as seeing different parts of the country while others may never leave the town they were born in. Our children our what drives some of us to get ahead in the military and to improve our lives for them. The workings of a base community, the hardships placed on the families and the support that we gain from them help us succeed. Any of these things could possibly be used shown through your eyes and how you feel about it. I hope it helps, good luck to you on your paper.
The Ignorance!
When I was in, I especially loved to travel. I've had the chance to visit places that others have only read about.

I've been to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, Guam, Puerto Rico to name a few. I think going to and learning about other cultures is important.

I have great photographs and some nice stuff I've bought when overseas. I like it when I have something cool and one of my friends asks me "where did you get that?" and I say..."Oh, I bought it when I went to ...." and that starts a whole conversation.

I don't know about brainwashing....even corporate jobs do some brainwashing themselves. There is a "corporate culture" where people go day by day worrying if they will still have a job tomorrow and do what ever it takes to keep that lame job. They keep people in a box and don't give them training or give a hoot if you get promoted. People go to work everyday to the same job and do the same thing. In a way that is a type of brainwashing too.

At least in the military there is a culture of team work. Many times you can get training and support that helps you get promoted. I am grateful for my time in the military....

It is not for everyone, and not everyone can do it...but for those of us who gave it a try and served honorably most of us will say it was worth it.
how it changes you
I personally don't like the military or anything about it.

VIVA LA RAZA!
The bonding of the people you get. Any veterans, or even active servicemen now will tell you how there is no stronger bond that you get between wo/men you serve with.
The travel was endlessly fascinating.

Different countries, different cultures, chances to go places and do things, you could nver dream of doing with some 9 to 5 job that only gives two weeks vacation a year.

The children move around alot, and you hear alot of negative...........but later on in life, LOOKING back............most say it was the BEST days of their lives........ya whine alot as a teen..........but you appreciate all the opportunity ya had, the vast experience you pick up, globetrotting around the world. It serves you WELL, the rest of your life. Teaches you think OUTSIDE the box. You learn to see America from ABROAD.............something EVERY American should be REQUIRED to do........to full appreciate what you have and why people like BUSH, who tried to DESTROY it...........should never be tolerated.

Military Life can be hard at times, but it can also be the most rewarding thing you have ever done.

You get out of it, what you put into it.

I know people who joined the NAVY......and then asked for the nearest portside duty, so they could stay close to home.!

Why join the NAVY, to stay home????????

I ASKED FOR FOWARD DEPLOYED STATUS, AND FOUGHT FOR IT!!!!!!! I joined, to see the world, and I surely did, many times over.

I would gladly do it all again. They were GOOD days!
