I have acquired my AA degree in criminal justice and planning to join the Marines soon and be a Military police officer.
Depending on the years I serve can I become a civilian police officer after leaving the military?
or what types of jobs can I get in law enforcement after my military service?
Thank you for any help. What type of job can you get after being in the military?police officer...its pretty popular for ex military people. What type of job can you get after being in the military?
You can apply for and get any job you have the experience, qualifications and education to get...
The military (any branch or job) will give you 3 things toward becoming a police officer in the civilian world...
1. A steady work history
2. Veterans Preference Points in the hiring process
3. Education money to obtain the certifications and credentials required to get hired by whatever jurisdiction you are looking at getting hire at
You will get those same 3 in any job in any branch. Military police does not train or certify you as a civilian law enforcement officer. It trains you to be an MP. States and jurisdictions set their own education and training requirements. What type of job can you get after being in the military?Without a 4-year degree? Dishwasher.
