How would you react if a foreign nation had a military base in the US?

What would be your reaction if Germany, Italy, Japan, or South Korea built a base in the US? The US already has many military bases in other countries. How would you react if a foreign nation had a military base in the US?I would imagine that many people would be very angry about it, much like people in other countries are very angry that we have military bases near them. How would you react if a foreign nation had a military base in the US?
If we needed the protection of a foreign power to that extent, then I suppose many would welcome it.

What many people fail to realize (including yourself), is that all the nations listed have either attacked us and lost (in which case they deserve the US in their back yard), or requested US military assistance. How would you react if a foreign nation had a military base in the US?In principle I do not believe in spending money on bases or wars. If we had a Socialist world maybe then we might not need bases. Socialist countries .like Cuba , Venezuela and others need bases to protect themselves, against aggression, US that is. It is enshrined inn the Monroe Policy. If Cuba and Venezuela wanted to have bases in the USA I wouldn't object. But I do object when the US sticks its bases in Colombia and Honduras to thereat en Socialist countries in this hemisphere. Hope this helped.
1) that depends on that nations diplomatic relations with us, a country such as Germany or Japan would pose a possible future problem. and 2) it would never happen as long as the united states is still the sole super power in the world. The us doesn't need/want a foreign country having a base here because it would pose a threat as well we're defenders not the defended. How would you react if a foreign nation had a military base in the US?People in Fort Bliss, Texas, would be the right ones to answer your question. I have read that they were suspicious at first, but that was a long time ago. Don't know exactly when the German air force base opened. It was existing in the early seventies already, as a schoolmate of mine moved to El Paso, because his father was sent there. How would you react if a foreign nation had a military base in the US?
I wouldn't care as long as the country whose base it was, was our ally. It would make me uneasy if Iraq, for example, wanted to build a base here, but I'd be fine with Japan or any other nation we're on good terms with, building one.
well in legal terms if a country has a embassy in the US the they have a military base in the US but there is no active force or actual military force in these "bases" due to UN agreements and such. How would you react if a foreign nation had a military base in the US?
well if they paid a insane amount of money on rent and a land lease like we do in most counties we do it at than more power to them

as long as its not clearly a traditional enemy of the US
They do. Singapore and Germany both have bases in the United States for example.
i really wouldnt care, i mean, we have bases all over the world, why not the same here.
The UN has its building in the US and all nations are represented.
I'm not going to lie.

I'm not sure how I would feel, But I do know it would make me feel how those other countries feel
Other militaries kill babies too so I would not like it that is why we should pull out of other countries
USA is a superpower so that won't happen any time soon without our complete consent.

As soon as other countries start taking care of their own affairs, we can withdrawl from those places.

If they continue to allow corrupt governments (Some of which support terrorism, for example), then it is the USA's duty to protect bordering democracies, and allies.

USA also protects countries like Taiwan, because they need us. Without the USA, you may as well call it China.
