Right now military service and nursing are the only careers I can think of where you're guaranteed a decent wage. Yes, soldiers aren't paid well, but they have free housing and medical care. Do Republicans want military service to be the only decent career available to most Americans?Yep, for everyone except for Republicans and their families. Remember, Republicans like wars as long they don't have to fight in them.



Look at the Bush administration. Not ONE member of the administration has a member in Iraq. Even Bush cowardly signed up for the national guard and then went AWOL.Do Republicans want military service to be the only decent career available to most Americans?

Anyone can do what I'm doing - if they put in the effort to go to college and work hard as I did.



BTW, I'm only 24 and just took my engineering license exam. If I passed, I'll get a raise, since I will be more marketable and be able to do more. The future looks good to me.

UNemployed get free, or reduced, housing, medicaid %26amp; food stamps! And they didn't have to join the military to get it. Middle class people don't qualify for those handouts and can barely afford those necessities. there are many jobs around where all you need is the training and ability to work hard. The military is a good starting point, My oldest joined the navy.If I am not mistaken Republicans made the decision an all volunteer one. Its Democrats that want to bring back the draft.
I think it should be a requirement to serve for four years in the military.

Most republicans want people to work for a living and not think the world owes them everything . There are a lot of good jobs out there you just have to apply yourself.

Computer programmer, IT, doctor, lawyer, and the vast number of information careers (data analysis, etc...).

No, that's not true. There is many careers that make good money. Look hard for online classes and job searches or be creative and think of making money on your own with your own business.
I do not think so. Many Republicans have made laws and voted for laws that educate our children better and help educate people to get better jobs. I do not look at Republicans as the enemy. Many Republicans have made very hard sacrifices for our country, as well as Democrats have too. I am sure the other parties have too. There are no absolutes, you can not say all Republicans, Democrats etc. but you can say some.
