Is there a military clause for ending a cell phone contract with out paying a fee?
I am deploying for 4 months and not even sure when I will be back. I heard that there was a military clause that could get me out of my contract with out paying the fee. True?Is there a military clause for ending a cell phone contract with out paying a fee?I have a family member that is in the military and has Verizon Wireless. Verizon freezes the account while you are gone. you don't have to pay..I think it was kind of annoying to do so he usually just leaves it on and pays the bill now but they do have deals..just talk to your carrier about it and they will fill you in. I would think every carrier would have some type of deal. As far as getting out of your contract i don't think they will do that. it's just a hold on service and when you get back you start it back up..every carrier might be different though.. this is verizon that did this. I am sure it depends how long you are gone to. only customer service can answer that for you. Is there a military clause for ending a cell phone contract with out paying a fee?I know that with T-Mobile, military customers can cancel with no fee when they deploy. They can also suspend their account with no fee for up to 18 months at a time instead, in order to keep their mobile numbers for when they get back or just go on leave or whatever.
