What are the requirements to be officer in US military? For Air force and Navy? Is it easier to become officer, as an enlisted? What are the requirements to be officer in US military? It's far easier to enlist.
Officers have all basic the physical requirements for enlisted men, stricter psychological requirements (regarding criminal record, evidence of loyalty, judgement, etc), and also MUST have a four-year college degree--no exceptions.
However you can go to a military school (Annapolis, West Point, AFA, or one of the state military academies (e.g. the Citadel)) or take ROTC training at nearly any school, and they'll foot your bill for a bachelor's degree and you're an officer straight out of school. But your social life will revolve around the military, FYI.What are the requirements to be officer in US military?Enlisted is how you start your military career. Officers are the higher ups... the brass. They are the ones that have college degrees and such. I know that in the Army you can become a WO without a college degree by going up the enlisted scale and waiting for an opening and applying for it. Then you will be an officer without having a college degree. (WO is Warrent Officer.) My neighbor was a WO. He retired out of the Army after 28 years. I would say it would be easier to go in as enlisted, get a college degree then come back as an officer. What are the requirements to be officer in US military?well i don't remember exactly but i don't think its easier to become an officer if enlisted if possible. but check the military sites your interested in and they should have it. i know for the army you basically go through college n b in the ROTC program upon completion of the program your sworn into the military as a lieutenant What are the requirements to be officer in US military?
both require a 4 year degree, preferably a BS in a hard science or Technical degree with at least a 3.5 GPA. Other factors include: Citizenship, ability to get a Clearance and meet all physical standards.
it is not easier to enlist and then commission, although there are several programs that are geared specifically for that purpose.

What is the best airline to travel if you are in the military?
What airline gives the best discount for military personnel?
What are some suggestions to saving on travel if you are military? (I know about "space available" travel already)

But if you have access to AKO/DKO they have a link in there somewhere (been there once or twice) that gives the locations of military discounts.
Also check out www.military.com they have a section too i think other then that i do not know just call and ask. I do know if you go amtrak they have a pretty good discount. What is the best airline to travel if you are in the military?Find more about travel at: http://world24hours.googlepage鈥?/a>
Any fighter jet will do. Free and fast. US tax-payers are paying for it.

How do i handle people who are against the military?
Im sick of people trash talking the marines (im planning on being one) and all of the other military branches. They have no right talking bad about the brave men and women that protect us. What should i say to get them to shut up and stop talking bad about our armed forces? How do i handle people who are against the military?Tell them that members of the armed services have no more say than them about what military conflicts the US is involved in. Tell them to go talk to a politician who can change something rather than you who cannot. A soldier is simply a citizen who has offered to go fight wherever American society says is necessary. Once you put on the uniform you don't decide who you are going to fight or even if you will fight at all. Being a soldier does not mean that you want to go kill people or cause problems throughout the world. Being a soldier just means that you are brave enough and selfless enough to stand up for this country.
Unfortunately, many people who don't realize never will. If they don't want to acknowledge your view then it is best to just walk away. Being the bigger person has profound effects even if it doesn't seem that way. Just know that there are those who support you and appreciate your sacrifice.
I hate the idea of war, but blaming the men and women who serve in the armed forces is just plain silly. They are a very necessary part of our country and they put themselves in more dangerous situations than any other person. They do that for very little monetary reward. How do i handle people who are against the military?
"They have no right talking bad about the brave men and women that protect us."
Sorry, but you are completely incorrect. The First amendment of the US Constitution grants the freedom of speech, which means people ABSOLUTELY have the right to talk bad about the brave men and women that protect us.
How should I handle people like you who want to trash the US Constitution? How do i handle people who are against the military?"I'm sorry you feel that way sir, ma'am; but you have the freedom to say it because of the rights that they're protecting."
Just do what I do when people call me terrible.Say Im not fighting for you.How do i handle people who are against the military?US is at war with other nations just to bring peace in the world....
Price is not much, just a few million people for collateral damage.......How do i handle people who are against the military?
The mature, noble, thing to do is let them talk, then go wherever you're sent and risk death defending thier right to go on badmouthing everyone who's ever done anything for thier country.
Perhaps you can take some comfort in knowing you're better than they are. I couldn't, and I can't imagine how anyone could, but people seem to do it every day.
I was flying home and once your in the military you can pick out military easily. anyways I was drinking with a few soldiers waiting for our flights and someone overhead our conversations and called us all baby killers. (yet im a medic) we pretty much told that person that if we didn't exist these muslim radicals would be here blowing up cars and having suicide bombers here. tell them thatHow do i handle people who are against the military?
Get up nice and close to them and very quietly but intently tell them that you plan to join the military service in the future and will protect their Constitutional right to free speech. And their right to act the fool and the coward. The military doesn't want you anyway
I run into this problem all the time, and most notably from my best friend, who has attempted to forbid me from joining the Navy. My sister, two previous boyfriends, and my best friend are all in the military, and I attempted to join, but was rejected; and it drives me crazy to hear someone bad mouthing the troops.
I usually tell them that the only reason they have the privilege to say horrible things about the military is because those very people DIED defending their right and freedoms to say such things.
And if It where not for the military, you would not even have the courage or the right to say such things about them, or to even voice your opinion in the first place.
But I have also had some excellent results IE shutting these people up, with just one small phrase. . . .
IF YOU DO NOT STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM!
LOL. I have never seen a more shocked expression on someones face then the first time I used that phrase.
The sad problem is that soldiers gave up their lives, time with their children and spouse, and risked mental and physical harm so that these very same people can sit in their own homes safely at night, and walk around town saying these horrible things without fear of retaliation.
Its not right for them to do so, but they sadly DO have the right, although they never should.
Tell them if they can't stand behind our soldiers STAND IN FRONT OF THEM. (Think about it for a second.)

What is the fastest way to become a helicopter pilot in the military?
The fastest, safest, and least amount of time to serve. My career goals are to helicopter pilot. Not for the military. I know that through the military I will receive the best training and get more experience. What is the fastest way to become a helicopter pilot in the military? You will need to attend the rotary wing course at Fort Rucker, AL. When you complete it, you will be appointed a Warrant Officer. Not sure what the active duty commitment is, but I believe it is 4 or 5 years. What is the fastest way to become a helicopter pilot in the military?
Focus on getting a stable job and get a cilivian pilot's license. If don't you plan on flying into hot LZs in the cilivian world just find a flying institute. What is the fastest way to become a helicopter pilot in the military? All branches of the military have helicopters, but I think all of them except for the Army require you to have higher education (and likely be an officer too).
I believe for the Army you need to be a Warrant Officer to attend flight school. Talk to a recruiter about programs the Army may have.
If you have no interest in the military though, I don't recommend that you join just to recieve flight training. The reason being that you will have 4 years minimum commitment, and there may be other requirements to be a commercial helicopter pilot. What is the fastest way to become a helicopter pilot in the military?
No before you start your flight training at Fort Rucker you have to go through basic training and then Warrant Officer Candidate School. If you pass both you become a Warrant Officer. If you don't you are ranked down to Copl. I was almost suckered into doing it but you will owe them at least 6 years. We used to transition all of the Fort Rucker heli pilots into fixed wing in Al. Think twice about a civillian heli carrer remember you are competing with all of those departing military heli pilots. What is the fastest way to become a helicopter pilot in the military?Commpilot pretty much answered you, but another thing to remember is that getting your rating through a civilian school will cost a lot of money, easily hundreds of dollars a flight hour. As for the 6 year commitment, it wont start until after you graduate flight school, and that can last anywhere from a year to a year and a half depending on what type of war time helicopter you end up learning to fly.
They train to fly helicopters. Civilian and military helicopters fly the same way. How they are used is different, not how they stay in the air.
You do not need to enlist in the army and then ask for flight school, there is a high school to flight school/street to seat program that you can look into.
It will not matter how you get there, you will owe 6 years from the time you pin on your wings. I went to WOC School with 11 years in the army, and when I finish flight school, I owe them 6, being an enlisted soldier will not decrease the time you owe the Army after flight school.
If you decide to enlist first, it doesn't matter what MOS you pick first, flight school is open to every MOS, and is designed to teach a person who has never touched a helicopter how to fly. What is the fastest way to become a helicopter pilot in the military?
if you don;t want to be in the military, then WHY on earth would you expect the military to agree to train you? you will be committed to serving x number of years in the military in exchange for the training. all branches save the Army require a 4 year degree before they will even think about talking to you. only the Army allows non degree holders to become Warrants and fly Helos, but again, you will be required to serve a minimum of 4-6 years .
BTW.. the military trains you in COMBAT aircraft. nothing like civilian aircraft. if you want to fly civilian helicopters, get your license on your own time and your own dime.
Its about even either way you go.
You can get your university degree and apply for flight school. that will take 4 years of school, plus a 3 year service commitment(Army) ,4 years commitment in the other branch's.
Or you can enlist in the Army, preferably in an avionics mos, take college class's and about your 3 year mark, apply for warrant officer school and flight school, again you will have an additional 3 year commitment after flight school.
So your looking at 6 byears one way, vs 7 years the other way.
The 7 years would probally be the better way, because then you would have a college degree .
And there are no guarentees that you will be selected for flight training either way.
Mostly it will depend on your score on the Flight Aptitude Selection Test .

I am looking for a fun dessert idea I can make for a kid's military themed party. It must be nut free individual portions that are easy to serve.Does anyone have any ideas or recipes for a military inspired dessert?I made this on 4th of July and took it to a barbeque. It's a patriotic cake...........
BERRY" AMERICAN CAKE
1 pkg. (2 layer) white cake mix
1 pkg. (3 oz.) Jello strawberry gelatin
1 pkg. (3 oz.) Jello berry blue gelatin
2 c. boiling water
1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
Prepare cake mix as directed on package baking in 2 well greased and floured 9 inch layer pans at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pans 15 minutes; poke with fork at 1/2 inch intervals. Do not remove from pans. Dissolve each package. Pour strawberry gelatin over 1 layer, berry blue over the other. Chill 4 hours. Unmold 1 layer onto serving plate, top with 1 cup of the whipped topping. Unmold second layer onto first. Frost top and sides with remaining whipped topping and chill. Garnish with strawberries and blueberries.
PS. I like the hand grenade desert. Only I guy could think of that. I have 3 boys, I can appreciate male creativity. LolDoes anyone have any ideas or recipes for a military inspired dessert?
Hi there... I would make a bunch of cupcakes (easy enough). Get 3 colors of frosting - red, white and blue. Arrange the cupcakes on a platter (all close together, touching side-by-side) and frost the cupcakes in a flag pattern. No cake to cut and very patriotic!Does anyone have any ideas or recipes for a military inspired dessert?Let them all make their own MRE's. Its easy fun cheap and tastes GREAT hahahaha. I think that there are even dessert packets or MRE's that you can buy.Does anyone have any ideas or recipes for a military inspired dessert?

It has recipes for quite a few tasty cakes and desserts that can be prepared easily from home ..Does anyone have any ideas or recipes for a military inspired dessert?how about hollowing out a pineapple? They look like hand grenades - in fact hand grenades are even called pineapples.
Then cut the pieces in bite size and put them back in. fashion a pin out of pipe cleaners or some such thing and a top to put the pin in....maybe some playdough or something to form a top for the grenade.
Give them some vanilla icecream to put the pineapple pieces over....
Call it "Desert Storm"
Geez.....hand grenade desert.....I am really loosing it today!Does anyone have any ideas or recipes for a military inspired dessert?
Make a sheet cake 13x9 size. Then frost it with different colors of frosting to look like camoflauge. Use green, brown, black etc. Or bake a cake in a metal mixing bowl. The cake will be a dome shape. Again frost it with the camo colors. It will look like an Army helmet. You can also write the birthday persons name on it like a name tape on the helmet that's used in the military. Have fun!!
